DPS, a UAE-based company, is looking to capitalise on its catalogue of experience in the aviation industry as Georges Hannouche, CEO, Bayanat-DPS comments: "The projected figures for airport development in the region are staggering and we are seeing many opportunities in which to help support these developments through our services."
"Having already completed many industry related projects such as the ILS (Instrument Landing System) for Abu Dhabi Airport, the Ground movement radar for both Abu Dhabi and Dubai and a Radar Simulator for Dubai, we are looking forward to being able to support the new industry developments and are hopeful of concluding some of this business at the show,"
added Hannouche.
DPS has every reason to be optimistic having sealed business worth over USD 5 million for the contract for the passenger/baggage handling at Abu Dhabi International Airport, and USD 300,000 for enhancing and modernising Air Traffic Services for Fujairah International Airport, at last year's show.
Organisers report that the Airport, Build and Supply Exhibition attracted nearly 3,000 visitors in 2005 and suggest that these numbers should rise to over 4,000 in 2006, with over 400 exhibitors taking part at this year's exhibition.
