Batelco signs new GPRS roaming agreement with T-Mobile in Germany

Batelco has announced a new bi-lateral commercial GPRS roaming service with T-Mobile in Germany, which is great news for football fans attending the World Cup.

The new service which kicks off on June 1st gives Batelco Mobile users better than ever coverage whilst roaming in Germany. The bi-lateral agreement enables Batelco's post-paid mobile customers who have GPRS / MMS enabled handsets to exchange pictures and video clips with colleagues, family and friends and also browse the internet directly from their mobiles while roaming in Germany.

"This fantastic new service will allow football fans to share the excitement of the World Cup as it happens with their family and friends at home,"


said Batelco Corporate Affairs General Manager Ahmed Al Janahi.

"Batelco continues to look at ways to add extra benefits for their customers and this new bi-lateral agreement will prove to be very convenient for football fans and the many Bahraini residents who travel to Germany for summer vacation."
