The announcement comes in line with Dubai Autism Centre's endorsement of the ICDL programme, supporting the Dubai government's initiative to promote IT education across local organisations.
"Dubai Autism Centre works on maintaining an advanced position as one of the leading national projects that offers unique services to the local community. IT training is an essential requirement for enhancing performance levels, especially in the special needs' service sector," said Mohammed Al Amadi, director general of Dubai Autism Centre.
ITEP will offer the training free of charge as a token of appreciation to the Centre's role in empowering people with special needs.
"We are proud to assist local organisations with a commitment to lead by example in the pursuit of IT excellence. Dubai Autism Centre has grasped the importance of IT as a tool that will sustain its mission in offering premium services and programmes to DAC's members," said Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, director of ITEP.
"The skills obtained through the ICDL programme will form a solid base on which to build advanced IT skills. We hope to assist DAC's staff to obtain the ICDL certification soon,"
he concluded.
