$950m Oryx GTL

Qatar has inaugurated its $950m gas-to-liquids plant at Ras Laffan Industrial City. Oryx GTL is a joint venture between state-owned Qatar Petroleum and South Africa-based petrochemical company Sasol, holding 51% and 49% respectively. Designed by Foster Wheeler, the plant will convert 330m cubic feet per day of natural gas from Qatar's North Field to 34,000 bpd of liquids.
