- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, June 07 - 2006 at 08:17
- PRESS RELEASE
Jet Aviation Dubai was recently named FAA certified repair stations (#U8JY426Y) which allows the facility to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, airframe and engine repairs, avionics modifications, inspections and defect rectifications on U.S. registered aircraft.
"Receiving this repair station approval from the FAA is a major achievement for our still new facility. Owners and operators with U.S. registered aircraft can now have peace in mind when flying to the Middle East since we will be able to handle their maintenance needs," says Philip Balmer, senior vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Dubai. Since being
named an FAA repair station, the facility has already supported several U.S. registered aircraft.
Jet Aviation Dubai is the first executive aviation maintenance and FBO facility at the Dubai International Airport. Jet Aviation's third location in the Middle East has a total of 4,200 square meters (45,192 square feet) of hangar space, a workshop area of 1,000 square meters (10,760 square feet), and a two story FBO building with an area of 1,050 square meters (11,300 square feet). The facility is an FAA approved repair station and an authorized service center for the Boeing Busines Jets and the Raytheon Hawker 800 series business. In addition, the facility is part of Jet Aviation's service center agreement with Airbus which links the Dubai facility to the Airbus customer service organization. Negotiations with other OEMs for further service center approvals are under way and the company expects to announce additional maintenance approvals of other countries shortly.
