U.S.-Arab Economic Forum attracts key global media outlets

Global television and print media outlets including Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, AP, Al-Jazeera, BBC, AME Info, MBC, Iraqi news agency, Russian and Turkish television will gather in Houston on June 26- 28th as corporate and government leaders from the U.S. and Arab World come to the U.S.-Arab Economic Forum (USAEF) to discuss the most relevant issues affecting our world today.

With the current energy crisis, U.S. policy in Iraq, threats to U.S. peace and security, and the impact of terrorism on global economic stability -- this year's USAEF will be extremely timely in addressing the issues most relevant to the U.S., Arab World, and world at large. Governed under the theme 'One World. Two Cultures. Endless Possibilities,' the USAEF displays the mutual desire to enhance bilateral relations and offers a unique opportunity to explore new approaches to U.S.-Arab relations, acting as a catalyst for change worldwide.

The USAEF will also tackle other key issues in its 2006 agenda which include: transparency and accountability in governance and finance; human capacity building; trade infrastructure; public-private partnerships and empowering women through economics.

The 2006 USAEF, in coordination with the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce and USAID, the Arab League and the Gulf Co-operation Council, is America's premier event for high-level dialogue between the U.S. and Arab World.
