Reports on blood sugar and gas content levels were given out at the end of the personalized sessions, which was supported by free consultations on appropriate treatment and advice on exercise routines.
"The camp was part of a larger campaign launched by Dubai Municipality's Clinic to raise awareness on the lethal effects of smoking, a habit which is one of the key causes of death around the world,"
said Zohour Al Sabagh, head of Clinic and Public Health Division, Dubai Municipality.

Participants at the camp extended their gratitude to Dubai Press Club for facilitating the event and acknowledged the efforts of Dubai Municipality to increase awareness on the hazards of smoking.
Dubai Municipality Clinic has earlier conducted its mobile campaign at popular spots in Dubai including shopping malls, where the clinic's health providers offered similar medical checks to the general public, and specifically to habitual smokers.
