Oil could peak by 2010

Global oil production is expected to peak as soon as 2020, according to Total CEO Thierry Desmarest quoted by Bloomberg. He said natural gas production may rise to its highest level between 2030 and 2040 before falling. The International Energy Agency' s chief economist Faith Birol told the news service that output will meet demand until 2030.
