- PRESS RELEASE
As of today MTC Group has invested $6 billion USD in its African and Middle East markets.
According to Al Barrak, "Most of these investments are a direct result of the successful expansion strategy that MTC drew four years ago and the effects of these expansions have been the strong revenues achieved by MTC over the past few years, especially that MTC now operates in 20 countries with over 21 million customers."
When Dr. Barrak took over the helm of MTC in 2002, he based his 3X3X3 profitable expansion strategy on the old proverb, "the one who does not come up with something new and different will not succeed." Al Barrak explained to the audience, "We knew what we wanted and we made readily available the tools we needed to get us there. The result was wonderful."
MTC was quickly able to attain its international status in less time than what was originally planned for, "We achieved in 3 years what we thought it would take us 6 years to do. We couldn't have done this without the talented and dedicated employee base. At MTC we built a feeling of belonging and commitment to our structure and as such MTC firmly believes that it is the Human Resource that leads to the success of any company. Organizations across the region should continually develop their human resources."
Al Barrak concluded his speech with another firmly held belief, "Life does not wait for you, you have to take the opportunities it avails you. Ambitions should never cease to exist because ambitions are lie the horizon they exist forever"
