This course is part of an on-going series of courses presented under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between AIRBUS, the European Academy for Aviation Safety (EAFAS) and the GCAA which brings vital aviation safety training to the region.

The actual presentation of the Aircraft Maintenance Systems Requirements Course was conducted by Mrs. Muriel Nomura, an Aviation Consultant who is an expert in Civil Aviation Regulations with extensive world-wide experience.

The course content focused on Aircraft Maintenance Organization Approval requirements; continuing Airworthiness; and the requirements for certifying staff as specified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) which regulates the Civil Aviation Regulations for the European Union.

The GCAA is a leading proponent of harmonizing Civil Aviation Regulations in the Gulf States and is adopting the European requirements, as far as possible; to ensure aircraft maintenance systems are correctly conducted for the overall safety of the flying public.

This course was attended by 14 participants from a broad civil aviation spectrum including GAMCO, Kuwait Airways, Royal Jet, Dubai Air Wing, Bahrain Civil Aviation Authority as well as GCAA Airworthiness Inspectors.
