Sabic delays Dutch cracker

The Saudi Basics Industries Corporation has pulled the plug on a plan to build a naphtha cracker in Geleen in the south of the Netherlands, reported Gulf News. The company cited investment costs and high financial risks as the reason for the postponement. The project would have involved Sabic investing $2.3bn and would have created thousands of jobs in Limburg.
