SCTDA in Oxford Business Group MoU for 'Emerging Sharjah'

Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), has signed a strategic partnership with Oxford Business Group (OBG), the UK-based publishing, research and consultancy services company and the name behind the authoritative Emerging Markets economic, political and business annuals, to produce the first detailed English language economic and political review of the emirate.
"Emerging Sharjah 2006 will focus on our regional development strategy and provide detailed overviews and analysis of the emirate's social and macro-economic environment," said Mohamed Ali Al Noman, Director, SCTDA.
"It will also highlight the emirate's rapidly developing tourism potential in greater depth."
The new powerful business annual is expected to be launched in the last quarter of the year. It will join an OBG publications stable which already boasts Emerging Market reports on various GCC states.
"As the third largest emirate within the UAE, Sharjah is an important addition to our Emerging Markets portfolio," said Sonja Gehlsen, Country Director, Oxford Business Group.
"Differentiated in style and character from its neighbours, the emirate has unique offerings across a variety of sectors, including tourism, art, culture, manufacturing, aviation and logistics and these will be covered in depth in the first edition devoted to the emirate."
