Bilateral ties between the U.A.E. and Canada is poised to receive a greater boost following a recent flurry of strategic alliances between the business communities of the two countries - especially in the sustainable energy, construction and telecommunications sectors.
Over the past 10 years, S.S. Lootah Group along with its Canadian business partners has developed a number of projects across key industry sectors. Recently, S.S. Lootah's drive to promote sustainability and subsequent launch of the International Energy Group (IEG) to develop clean and renewable energy projects have resulted in remarkable collaboration that brings tangible economic, social and environmental benefits to the UAE and the region.
"S.S. Lootah Group is committed to bring in a paradigm shift in business models by integrating sustainability as a critical tool that empowers economic and social development of the current and future generations," said Eng. Yahya Bin Saeed Al Lootah, Vice-Chairman of the S.S. Lootah Group while presenting the Group's Canadian Business Roadmap during the send-off ceremony to Mr. Hutton. "Our Canadian business partners have contributed greatly in realizing our vision," he added.
S.S. Lootah International (SSLI) - the international business arm of S.S. Lootah Group - since its inception in 1999, has created a knowledge platform by establishing progressive alliances with a host of Canadian business majors such as Terasen International (formerly BC Gas, Canada), Hydrogenics, ZAS, and Sasktel to name a few.
"S.S. Lootah and its various business units will continue to scout for dynamic business partners that not only offer cutting-edge technology, innovation and expertise but also share our values and vision towards building a sustainable future," said Eng. Yahya Lootah.
"With its capabilities to develop and support large-scale infrastructure projects in construction, natural gas networks, telecommunications, and energy sources, S.S. Lootah is proving to be a committed partner to Canada while setting an example for other companies to follow suit and take bilateral relations between the two countries to a higher plane of success," commented HE David Hutton.
Labelled as "Partners for Good", the usual send-off ceremony provided a platform to showcase the burgeoning economic relations between the U.A.E. and Canada. Mr. Graham Rush, Canadian Senior Trade Commissioner to the U.A.E. and the top management of S.S. Lootah Group joined hands to give a warm send-off to HE David Hutton in appreciation of his remarkable work in nurturing successful business and community relations between the two countries.
