The company put four all-inclusive World Cup packages up for grabs on Dubai Eye 103.8 and Dubai FM 92, to raise money for Walk the World 2006 - a global initiative by the World Food Programme (WFP) - to increase both awareness and funds to fight child hunger worldwide.
'The two-week campaign generated tremendous interest from the emirates' soccer fans who have responded with enthusiasm for what is the largest global sporting event after the Olympics,' said Rod Ellis, Commercial & Marketing Manager - Gulf, TNT Express.
'The winners have not only supported Walk the World but will also journey to Germany to have the trip of a lifetime.'
The four highest bidders will fly off at the end of June to watch the quarter finals of the 18th official FIFA World Cup.
'Although the carnival football atmosphere is what attracted me to the promotion, I'm glad I was able to contribute to such a worthwhile cause at the same time,' added Stuart Hammond, the highest bidder of the campaign.
