i-mate appoints new global sales director

i-mate has promoted Jack Craine to become the new global sales director.

He will be driving the sales growth of i-mate™ hardware and software solutions into new territories while increasing penetration in existing ones.

In light of i-mate™'s continuing strong revenue growth and the ever-increasing geographic reach, Craine's role will involve forging new relationships and maintaining key ones with all i-mate™ suppliers, distributors and channel partners. Craine will ensure that i-mate™ is identified as the company of choice every time mobility solutions are being considered.

Commenting on Craine's appointment, i-mate™ Chief Operations Officer Dawn Robson said, "As a result of our increasing global demand for i-mate™ products and solutions, a strong sales team is critical to service our growing customer base. Jack brings the experience and know-how to lead our sales team and ensure we hit our aggressive sales and revenue targets.

"We are extremely confident that he has the ability to leverage our core business competency to be the first to bring new and exciting cutting edge products to the market."

Craine has been with i-mate™ for two years as European sales director and has been instrumental in developing i-mate™ European sales strategy resulting in what is now i-mate™'s largest market globally.

Before i-mate™, Craine's experience comes from working as an Independent Training Consultant around the world delivering a range of sales training and business development content for clients in the FMCG and telecommunications industry. His client portfolio included Sky TV, GSK, Revlon and Carrier Devices.

Craine stated:

"Taking up this position in Dubai is an exciting challenge and I look forward to further building a highly motivated sales team focused on providing unprecedented levels of support and service to our customers around the world."


Craine's appointment comes at a time when i-mate™, the Dubai headquartered specialist in Windows Mobile® hardware and software solutions and services, has posted profits before tax of USD $22.5 million for the year ending 31st March 2006.
