Minister of Power praises the role of EIDA

H.E. Mohammad Bin Dhaen Al Hamli, Minister of Power, praised the role of the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) in managing the UAE Population Register and Identity Card project.

H.E. Al Hamli, H.E. Awad Mohammad Al Otaiba, Undersecretary for Capital affairs, and H.E. Nassir Mohammad Al Sharhan, Undersecretary for the Petroleum and Minerals Sector visited the Mushrif Registration Center in Abu Dhabi where they registered for the ID Card and were briefed about the latest developments on the project.

"The Population Register and ID Card Project will play a prominent role in promoting the UAE's development and prosperity. The project will also provide decision makers with necessary information to guide policy formulation in the country", said H.E. Al Dhaheri.

"The UAE has in a very short time managed to enhance its reputation amongst other nations as a regional destination for initiatives that will enhance the security of all its residents" he added.

Mohammad Massaood Al Mazroui, Manager of the Al Mushrif Registration Center in Abu Dhabi expressed appreciation for the response from senior officials in the UAE, who have participated actively in the ID card project.
