- United Arab Emirates: Monday, June 12 - 2006 at 15:44
- PRESS RELEASE
Xerox Middle East & Africa today announced the availability of the WorkCentre® 7132, a color-capable multifunction device that can be customized with essential business tools, such as network scanning and faxing, to fit the needs of small to midsized business and workgroups.
Capable of printing and copying on oversized 11x17-inch (A3) paper at speeds up to 32 pages per minute in black and white and 8 ppm in color, the WorkCentre 7132 multifunction printer produces high-quality images with a true resolution of 1200 x 600 dots per inch. It uses Xerox Emulsion Aggregation High Gloss Toner to deliver crisp black detail and vibrant color, while significantly reducing the amount of toner used per sheet of paper. That translates into real cost savings and reduced waste for value-oriented businesses.
The WorkCentre 7132 is available in flexible configurations, allowing a company to purchase a unit to meet its specific business requirements The configurations are equipped with standard copy and print functions, including a duplex-document handler, two-sided printing, a bypass tray and a main paper tray capable of holding up to 520 sheets. Users also can add multiple paper trays, as well as finishing, fax and scanning capabilities. The scanning functions include scan-to-email and scan-to-multiple network locations, such as team folders or fax machines. The finisher can automatically staple, fold or hole-punch documents as needed.
Each configuration can also store up to 500 commonly used forms or templates, such as purchase orders and expense reports, and print them on-demand from the control panel.
"This device offers the color options and advance functions that are vital to the efficiency of medium-sized workgroups, while providing small businesses with an affordable, versatile device to deliver professional-quality documents to their customers," added Smith.
The WorkCentre 7132 is one of Xerox's first multifunction systems to come equipped with Xerox Standard Accounting, free software that monitors the quantity and type of pages that are produced. Network administrators and IT managers can access Xerox Standard Accounting through the Web for a printable report that displays scan and fax activity, and shows how many pages each employee has printed and copied in both color and black and white.
This data enables system administrators to manage usage for individual office workers, helping offices from small to large control costs. Businesses can also use the report to charge prints, copies, scans and faxes to internal departments or external clients.
To further assist network administrators, the WorkCentre 7132 comes with Xerox's CentreWare® Internet Services desktop management software, which allows IT administrators or office workers to remotely clone, configure and manage the systems. Xerox's SMART eSolutions software automatically reports how many prints, copies, scans and faxes are completed on the system. Bi-directional print drivers alert office workers if the system is running low on resources or has encountered an error while workers are still at their desk.
Rounding out the set of integrated features, the WorkCentre 7132 also features "smart paper trays" that automatically detect paper sizes to match the print or copy job, designed to make system easier to maintain.
All configurations of the WorkCentre 7132 are available from July in MEA through Xerox concessionaires, resellers, agents and distributors.
