Sabic $2.27bn cracker on ice

Saudi Basic Industries has put on hold a $2.27bn naphtha cracker project in the Netherlands, saying it would not achieve its 'hoped-for economic feasibility', according to Dow Jones. The company cited high investment costs and higher financial risk as reasons for not going ahead with the project.
