Microsoft sponsors Future IT 2006

Microsoft in Bahrain is proud to be the Gold sponsor of the Future IT exhibition and conference being held from June 17th to 19th at the Diplomat Hotel.

This year marks the fourth consecutive year that Microsoft has been involved with this prestigious event, that is being held under the patronage of the Bahrain Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and President of the Central Informatics Organization, His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Atteyatallah Al Khalifa.

The Future IT 2006 Conference will run for two days and will be categorized in different tracks that cover the most demanding ICT issues facing organizations. These tracks cover a number of critical topics such as IT Security, information management, e-Government, Future of Internet, emerging technologies, strategic directions in Information Technology, IT management, communications and much more. Each track will be followed by a panel discussion composed of leading International experts in their fields and will enable delegates to join and participate in the panel and its very intense discussions.

Charbel Fakhoury, General Manager of Microsoft Gulf will be the key note speaker on June 17 discussing MS activities in Bahrain, especially for government, enterprise and ways to help communities in Bahrain. Ghassan Mteirek, Services Manager for Microsoft in Bahrain will also present a session on connected government frame work on June 18th.

The highlight of Microsoft's presence at the Future IT exhibition will be the next generation of Microsoft solutions that will be launched in the coming twelve months. The stand will feature demonstrations of the beta version of Microsoft Windows Vista. Microsoft specialists will also conduct presentations on Microsoft's business applications, the Microsoft Dynamics GP 9 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 entitled: 'Business Efficiency with Dynamics GP' and 'Winning Customers with Dynamics CRM' Microsoft Dynamics are financial, customer relationship and supply-chain management solutions for small and midsize businesses, large organizations and divisions of global enterprises.

Speaking about Microsoft's participation Sherif Bayoumi, Country Manager, Microsoft Bahrain said:

Four of Microsoft's leading partners will also be taking part in the conference by conducting presentation on SQL server 2005, Visual studio 2005, Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS). These four partners are Bahrain Institute of Technology (BIT), Ideas, Arabian Network Information services and Computer World.
