The website will change appearance every week throughout the 10 themed weeks of Dubai Summer Surprises complementing each themed week. It will also boast three search engines and impressive audio-visual effects with the DSS smile theme song playing in the background. An exclusive city guide search engine will provide an exhaustive listing of venues this DSS highlighting the Spa Packages. Another search engine will have information about entertainment opportunities, shopping malls and OC events at the click of a mouse. Viewers will also have the option to download the daily events calendar and plan their day accordingly. An added feature of the website would be the facility to download forms for retail promotions under Summer Deals and registration forms for Modhesh Fun Club to be duly filled and deposited at the DSS office.
The mymodhesh website provides all information in both Arabic and English with daily updates of the latest press releases. Apart from the news, it also features interactive games and an opinion poll. The popular LG interactive game will be back with the DSS beginning on June 21. Four more games and several new puzzles are being introduced too this time. Also featured is a detailed listing of Modhesh merchandise. Another major highlight of the website is the Modhesh e-club that has members across the world. It's a portal for Modhesh fans to get an official e-identity and to get-together on the world wide web and interact with each other.
Packed with fun and games, the website is an attempt to bring a slice of DSS into your home. The interactive games and online contests such as Best photo and Funniest joke competition are by far the most popular areas that interest the young and old. And what's more, there are great rewards awaiting the winners too!
The number of hits recorded in February this year were 1,615,574 with 101,639 page views, which are expected to rise with the beginning of DSS. Also the hits recorded last DSS saw a dramatic rise with the figures touching a peak of 1,622,576 hits during July 2005. This year the website which has already started receiving increased traffic will see a further rise in the number of hits because of the added features and new attractions.
Finding the response to the website encouraging, Ghazi Al Madani, DSS Marketing Coordinator said,
"We are delighted with the response so far and as the DSS approaches closer there will be even greater number of hits. Our interactive games and contests are the latest in the markets and have been designed to interest people of different age-groups. The youngsters especially will find the website very interesting with its modern design and quick links."
Dubai e-Government's all-new www.emodhesh.ae is also gearing up for heavy traffic in the ensuing summer months because of the DSS. The website has already got busy with an increased number of hits and the days ahead are expected to be busier. A competition for creating websites will go online for the internet savvy kids to show their web creativity. The best website design will be awarded.
