- PRESS RELEASE
The region's highly valuable flooring market will be one of the main focus areas at Index 2006, the Middle East's International Furniture And Interior Design Exhibition, which takes place from 7-11 November 2006 at Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
Saudi-based Al Abdullatif Industrial Investment Co. (previously known as Saudi Carpet Factory) are one of the large regional flooring companies that are looking to Index as a way of further expanding their share of the flooring market.
"Dubai has grown to become one of the most important home interior markets in the world thanks to the growing international stature of Dubai and its position as a major business hub due to the country's business friendly policies and excellent infrastructure," said Rahul Bharadwaj, Marketing Manager, Al Abdullatif Industrial Investment Co.
"Index is, in our opinion, one of the leading interiors exhibitions in the world - professionally organised and managed, it is one of the most important events of the year for us, a quality trade show where we can display a wide range of the latest designs and newly developed carpet qualities."
"Our participation at Index has been very fruitful over the years. We have always had a very good response, not only in terms of generating new business but also in expanding business with our existing customers, as it gives them a good opportunity to have a look at all of the latest developments in one place. Our stand at Index 2006 will once again be one of the biggest in the whole exhibition - this is clear evidence of the importance we attach to the show, and we are sure that the new focus on floorings will further enhance the show's effectiveness," he added.
"The flooring focus is just one of the ways in which we are developing Index to maintain its clear leadership in the interiors sector," said Bernard Walsh, Managing Director of dmg world media Dubai Ltd. "The continued growth and expansion of the show demonstrates the power of the event in attracting real decision makers and generating valuable business deals."
The incredible long term success of Index, which this year stages its 16th annual showcase of the very best in furniture and interior design, stems from its focus on product areas with relevance and appeal in an ever changing market environment. Already unrivalled in textiles, furniture, wall coverings and residential lighting, all of which are areas that have helped establish the show's international reputation, flooring is the latest sector to be expanded.
