He brings to his new role over 20 years' experience within the financial industry. This includes tenure as CEO of the pan European EASDAQ exchange, when Schubert was involved in the sale of the company to NASDAQ. He had also previously held the position of Managing Director of the Bavarian Stock Exchange and other senior positions with Siemens OM and Bridge.
The appointment follows the recent resignation for personal reasons of former CEO Lawrence Elms.
Sheikh Fawaz Bashraheel, Chairman of Tejoori, welcomed Schubert's appointment:
"Steffen brings considerable international experience and great credibility to this position. He is exactly the right person to lead Tejoori given his background in starting and growing companies and organisations."
On his part, Schubert commented on his appointment by saying: "I look forward to helping significantly drive the growth and development of Tejoori as it enters a new phase of dynamic operation with an array of impressive investments."
In March, Tejoori enjoyed a successful listing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange. It has continued to outperform the AIM All-Share Index.
The company said it is also to announce a top-level operations team and a series of high-profile investments in the near future.
