Mr. Rick Pudner, Emirates Bank CEO commented on the occasion by saying, ' The Emirates Bank Group can be recognised as an industry leader among the region's financial institutions. It is a solid institution, with an amazing history of success- which on this occasion, can be reflected through our two star brands- Emirates Bank and meBANK. Two brands of such caliber could only have come to such status through the hard work and drive of the people who work on them. We would like to thank the Superbrand Council for considering us, for the fourth year running, as a Superbrand.'
Mr. Louis Scotto, Emirates Bank General Manager- Retail Banking said:
'The incredible hard work dedicated to building and strengthening the meBANK brand continues to pay off. Our status as a Superbrand is something we cherish. This kind of esteemed recognition encourages us to continue to strive for excellence and to stay true to our brand.'
'Superbrand's worldwide philosophy is that a brand normally takes at least five years to stand a chance of becoming a Superbrand. meBANK won its first Superbrand award in 2003, at a tender age of 18 months.', Scotto added.
'2005 has seen our advertising and promotional campaigns go from strength to strength. meBANK aspires to be recognised as a leader in innovative and out-of-the-box thinking. We hope that we are recognized by our customers as a brand that fulfils their every expectation. With a shift from the 'meBANK' brand to the new and improved 'meBANKING' Identity for our mass retail banking products, we are a bank that encourages change, and like to think that we are moving towards a better tomorrow.', Mr. Scotto concluded.
Mr. Suleiman Al Mazroui, Chief Manager Group Affairs of Emirates Bank said, 'It is a great honour for Emirates Bank to be awarded the Superbrands status for the fourth consecutive year. It has always been our aim to be the leaders in our field- maintaining our solid professional image and combining this with a strategic vision for growth.'
'To be recognized as a Superbrand only strengthens us in our quest of being one step ahead of the rest. This year, we exercised an approach of aggressive branding and marketing initiatives, and we take great pleasure in seeing this recognized.', Al Mazroui concluded.
