Hugh MacPherson, Chief Operating Officer, GEMS Education praised the school saying:
"The importance of the CITA accreditation is not only for the school but for GEMS as a whole. It is the result of the hard work of the school's administration and the leadership & commitment of the entire school community; evidence of quality standards is essential in the approval process."
CITA's decision to grant AKNS accreditation followed a long and rigorous process, including a visit by a team of CITA evaluators who assessed the quality standards of learning, teaching and student performance at AKNS, which all met CITA's high standards.
To achieve accreditation, AKNS successfully completed the candidacy period, which included a self-study prepared by the school's management & administration. A site evaluation by a team of experienced educators from the US verified that Al Khaleej National School met the CITA quality standards during their visit to the school premises in February 2006.
"GEMS schools are committed to providing exceptionally high standards of education and the highest quality of teachers working within a robust and technologically-advanced environment," ended MacPherson.
