An audience of around 700 people including dignitaries from the MOE and students' families attended the ceremony.

Sunny Varkey commented:

"It is a tremendous honor that HE Dr. Hanif Hassan attended the graduation ceremony, a reflection of his continuous support of the education sector in the UAE and his encouragement to students at this very important stage of their lives."

Over the years, Al Khaleej National School has grown and developed to become a hallmark of educational excellence in the community, which was reflected in the recent approval for accreditation by the US based Commission on International & Trans-regional Accreditation (CITA).

AKNS has invested considerably during the past few years in enhancing the school's infrastructure to include a beautiful new elementary wing and significant additional resources in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) that include enhanced ICT suites, additional computers and a number of interactive white boards and promethean boards - all aimed at further enhancing standards and excellence at AKNS.

"We are committed to providing our students with the highest level of education possible, to help them develop the values, principles and ethics that are respected, admired and accepted in all cultures around the world. We encourage students to explore and question, seek solutions, make informed decisions and solve problems, to demonstrate tenacity and to express themselves confidently and become flexible thinkers, able to meet the demands of the future," said Varkey.
