Dubai Internet City seeks closer ties with Bangalore

Dubai Internet City (DIC) last week hosted a business delegation from the south Indian state of Karnataka, led by the Chief Minister of Karnataka, H D Kumaraswamy.

The delegation was received by Jamal Abdul Salam, Executive Director of Dubai Internet City.

After receiving a brief presentation on Dubai Internet City and its role in developing the ICT industry in the region, the delegation exchanged views, and discussed the possibility of collaboration. The two organizations also exchanged ideas on mutually beneficial projects.

Jamal Abdul Salam said:

"We are keen to build ties with IT centres in Asia. As part of our ongoing efforts to both support our business partners and expand our reach, DIC is always on the lookout for partnerships and alliances with IT centres across the world."


"We recognise the immense potential of the Indian software industry and collaborating with Bangalore, the premier hub of India's IT upsurge gives us the ability to build strong partnerships with the Indian technology industry," he added.
