Abortion drug risks health in UAE

Low income pregnant women are risking their lives by taking a powerful, labour inducing drug to abort the pregnancy, reported Gulf News. Women pay as much as Dhs100 for one tablet of Cytotec on the black market. UAE health officials said that use of the drug is strictly controlled and it was only available at government hospitals for the treatment of gastric conditions.
