The local wireless retailer was recognized in five categories, which include receiving the prestigious 'Best in Customer Service' award.

Commissioned by leading English daily newspaper 7Days and conducted by independent UK-based research company Ethos, the study was carried out by a team of 75 mystery shoppers who visited 210 outlets of 18 retail telecom brands across the emirates.

The company scooped the gold awards for the 'Best in Customer Service' and the 'Overall Best Performing Brand' as well as receiving bronze awards for 'Product Knowledge' and 'Overall Assessment'. Axiom Telecom's outlet at Town Center Jumeirah was hailed as the 'Top Performing Individual Retail Outlet'.

According to Faisal Al Bannai, founder and CEO of Axiom Telecom, the findings reaffirmed the company's position as the region's leading wireless retailer and recognized the employees' outstanding commitment to customer service.

Al Bannai said: "This top tier recognition is tangible evidence that going the extra mile in serving customers pays off. Our employees' continuous dedication and professionalism is what positions us at the forefront of the customer service industry.

"We value the input we receive from customers and will use the results to constantly evolve and differentiate our products and services," continued Al Bannai.

Axiom leads the industry in developing interactive services and opened the region's first concept store at the Ibn Battuta Shopping Mall in August 2005.

As part of the company's drive to ensure optimum user experience, the company recently upgraded its retail outlet at Deira City Centre and plans to open several other concept stores in the region by end of 2006.

"Most telecoms retail outlets offer the same products. We differentiate our brand by providing what matters to customers the most - an interactive and fully-functional shopping experience," concluded Al Bannai.

To date, Axiom Telecom has over 200 retail outlets and points of presence in the UAE. The brand has further achieved strong regional presence since establishing its regional roll-out in 2003.

The company's retail operations include value added services as well as after-sales care of wireless communications devices.
