20 Omani students for DTCM summer training programme

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has invited 25 students from the Sultan Al Qaboos University in the Sultanate of Oman to be a part of its summer training programme.
The DTCM will offer academic and practical training on the different aspects of tourism, commerce and marketing to Omani students to help them to take up lucrative careers in the tourism sector in Oman.
An Omani delegation comprising of Dr.Isam Ali Al-Rawas Dean College of Arts and Social Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University, Prof. Maged Fahmy Negm, Head of Tourism Department College of Arts and Social Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University and Mr.Falah Abdella Al-Suketi, Demonstrator Department of Tourism, College of Arts and Social Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University visited the DTCM recently.
The DTCM Manager, Human Resources, Mr. Ibrahim Yaqoot, Mr. Khalid bin Touq, DTCM Manager, Licensing and Classification and Ms. Nadia Salem Bushnai Coordinator HR, accorded a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from Oman. "We are very happy to invite the Omani students to learn more about Dubai's success story in the tourism sector," Mr. Yaqoot said adding that there were immense learning opportunities for those who were oriented towards the tourism sector.
Ms. Nadia said : "Fifteen students will be delegated to different five-star hotels, tour operators and travel agencies to learn more about their operations while five of the students will be trained at the DTCM Head Office where they will get hands-on experience about the working of the department."
The DTCM summer training programme will run from July 1 to August 23.
