- PRESS RELEASE
The Excellence in Energy Awards 2006 - the sixth in the Middle East's annual industry 'Oscars' - have been expanded to create a dedicated honour for the region's rapidly developing gas sector.
"With this year's awards ceremony taking place alongside Gastech 2006 - one of the most high profile gas industry events attracting more than 1,000 industry professionals from around the world - a dedicated title recognising the immense local, regional and international economic contribution of the Middle East's gas industry was a natural evolution," said Eileen Michael, Publisher, Reflex Publishing Middle East, which organises the event.
"We anticipate with the new award and the expanding profile of the region's energy sector that this year's honours will draw the highest poll to date even surpassing last year's record voting."
Voting in the Excellence in Energy Awards 2006, which are being hosted by Abu Dhabi's ADNOC Group and sponsored by industry heavyweights Dolphin Energy, and Schlumberger has now opened with polling taking place via entry forms in the Reflex Publishing flagship magazine Pipeline, via www.pipelinedubai.com and also through the Gastech 2006 website www.gastech.co.uk.
The Excellence In Energy Awards, a readers' choice scheme, recognises companies and an individual that make significant contributions in promoting excellence in innovation, quality of work and delivery standards in the regional industry. This year's awards will be presented at the Gastech CEO and Speakers Gala Dinner being held at Abu Dhabi's iconic Officers Club on December 3.
The Excellence In Energy Awards are supported by the International Association of Drilling Contractors, the Project Management Institute, the Regional Clean Seas Organisation (RESCO) and its members and the Energy Industry Council.
