Fitted with numerous lightweight construction components, 19-inch AMG forged wheels, AMG height-adjustable torsion sports suspension and AMG high-performance composite brake system, the special SLK 55 AMG guarantees the ultimate racing experience in a road car.

By discarding the vario roof and fitting a non retractable carbon fibre hardtop, Mercedes-AMG have been able to not only lower the centre of gravity, but increase the power to weight ratio by reducing the weight of the special SLK to 1,495 kg, which is 45 kg lighter than the basic vehicle.

The racing car design is continued in the interior with two specially developed AMG sport bucket seats in black pearl velour with silver AMG logo and carbon fibre on the door panel lining as well as on the trim parts. The new AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel in leather and Alcantara enables perfect control of the vehicle.

"The special SLK 55 AMG is an affirmation of the almost 40 years of Mercedes-AMG motorsport experience yet it has all the virtues typical of any Mercedes-Benz car, everyday driveability, safety, durability, quality and standards of service for the most demanding requirements,"

said Kai Schlickum, Regional Sales Manager, Mercedes-AMG, Middle East.

The unlimited special series SLK 55 AMG can be ordered by Middle East customers as of July.
