Etihad Airways started six-a-week services between Abu Dhabi and Doha on 18 June 2006, operating a three-zone Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
The new services which operates every day except Tuesday, offers a cargo capacity of up to 12 tonnes with a full passenger load.
"With the diversification of the Qatari economy and the Asian Games coming up in December, Etihad Airways is looking at some interesting business opportunities - not only for Guest but also for cargo services," said Ingo Roessler, Vice President Cargo, Etihad Airways.
Etihad Crystal Cargo is expecting to carry personal effects and perishables on the new route, with flight EY705 departing Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) at 21.30 and arriving at Doha International Airport at 21.30 local time and return flight EY706 departing Doha at 22.30, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 00.30.
"We haven chosen MICCO Logistics as our General Sales and Services Agents (GSSA) because their vision "to be closer to the customers" ties perfectly with Etihad Crystal Cargo's promise of "Total Customer Focus,"
continued Roessler.
Etihad Crystal Cargo's strategy is based on a mixture of opening up its own cargo offices and appointing General Sales and Services Agents (GSSA) for its cargo operations around the world.
"We believe that combining our local expertise and resource in the Qatari air cargo market with the tools Etihad Crystal Cargo provides us, we can offer the local market a premium product" adds A. M. Simreen, Managing Director of MICCO Logistics.
