FE appoint BIRD for employee trainings

BIRD is a quality training and consultancy provider, specializing in the retail sector, with flexibility and expertise to encompass other business areas as required. Fakhro Electronics selected BIRD as they offer custom-oriented courses to suit client needs.

Fakhro Electronics regularly invests in ongoing training for Bahraini staff members where sales team, technical team and customer services team are taught business English, and English for retail and communication.

Three extensive courses of 4 to 5-weeks duration have been completed in the first quarter of 2006, with the 4th training session scheduled to take place end of June.

"Fakhro Electronics has invested around BD5000 on training Bahraini employees in order for them to develop and grow and take on important positions within the company," said Alfredo D'Souza, General Manager - Office Automation and IT Products, Fakhro Electronics.

Mr D'Souza added, "One such classic example is Abbas Ali who joined Fakhro Electronics on 19 October 1992 as a Technician and on 01 February 2003 was promoted to Technical Service Supervisor - Office Automation Products. This year Abbas completes 14 years with the company. His success is a promise of Fakhro Electronics' commitment towards developing potential in Bahraini employees."

In addition to ongoing trainings Fakhro Electronics has also invested in training four Bahraini technical staff members in Microsoft Certified Support Engineers course (MCSE). The company also encourages employees with Employee of the Month programme, whereby every month an outstanding employee is recognised.
