The wider mission of the scheme is to encourage all elements of Oman society to familiarise themselves with, and start to make use of, information technology.
"The Oman government is making a significant investment in technological infrastructure, and we're pleased to have been able to assist them in contracting this work,"
says Paul Sheridan, managing partner in the Muscat office.
Denton Wilde Sapte advised the Ministry of Finance on Omantel's very successful £400m IPO last year, which was part of the Sultanate's ongoing plan to privatise state organisations.
Paul has recently returned to manage the Muscat office after working for several years in London. He was assisted in this deal by solicitor Lara Hansen and trainee solicitor Louisa Butler.
