VIP delegates from Batelco visited the Etisalat Academy to further discuss the EasyLearning initiative and its future benefit to the Bahrain community. Welcoming the Batelco delegates from the Etisalat Academy were Dr. Doaa Fares, General Manager, Asim Al Ali, EasyLearning Manager, and the department heads of the Academy.

Dr. Doaa Fares, General Manager, Etisalat Academy said: 'Our cooperation with Batelco has been going on for a few years. We are pleased to have this opportunity to widen our collaboration, which coincides with the ambitious vision of Batelco. Etisalat Academy has also managed to build strong relationships with other companies around the GCC and the Middle East regions, such as OmanTel, Qtel, Saudi Telecom, Mobily, Kanar and Mobiltel in Sudan, Paltel in Palestine, Alwarid in Pakistan and Sabafon in Yemen.'

The delegates were presented with the outstanding benefits of the EasyLearning initiative that the Etisalat Academy solely launched in the Region, Gulf Coast Countries, Middle-East and North Africa. The delegates were truly impressed with the vast range of facilities and programs that the Academy distinguishably offers and the dedicated cadres that strive at the training and development of professionals of all sectors and industries, in particular the telecommunications sector.

Sheikh Ahmed Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, General Manager, Human Resources & Services, Batelco, praised the Academy for its modern training facilities and programs. The EasyLearning initiative was one of the top priorities that Batelco was concentrating on and with its introduction to serve the Bahraini Community by investing in the development of individuals without the traditional barriers of e-learning. The strong and unique e-learning platform of EasyLearning gives equal prospects for every individual to learn and build up their skills as employees, without the barriers of cost and with very limited intervention of internet traffic and connection. Equally impressed and sharing the same views was Kamal Bahrini, Senior Manager Training and Development, Batelco.

Etisalat Academy premises are spread over an area of one million square feet. The Academy has a three class Residence Hostel, offering luxurious accommodation. It also has more than sixty classrooms, Language, Software and Network Labs. A unique Recreation & Sports Complex is attached, providing a well-rounded training environment. It also includes a real telecom network- identical to Etisalat's operating network- including all exchanges, equipment, services, and mobile phone systems, with Cable TV and an Earth Station for hands-on training.
