- PRESS RELEASE
The Emirates Group has honoured the successful graduates of its Corporate Consortium MBA, run in Dubai by the UK-based University of Bradford's School of Management.
Emirates sponsored 15 of its staff members in the Corporate Consortium MBA. Other consortium partners which sponsored their personnel were Dubai Technology Electronic Commerce and Media Free Zone (TECOM), Emirates Bank International, National Bank of Dubai, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and Siemans AG.
The MBA degrees were conferred by the Chancellor of the University of Bradford, Imran Khan, the former international cricketer and founder of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust (SKMT) Cancer Hospital in his home country of Pakistan.
Mr Khan said: "It gives me great pleasure to present the degrees to the graduates of this year's Corporate Consortium MBA.
"We all have tremendous potential within us and the people who achieve their dreams have a clear vision and are not afraid of failure. From my own experience, my advice to you is to think big and realise that resistance along your path can only strengthen you. I wish you every success and happiness in your future career."
The graduation ceremony at the Emirates Aviation College was attended by graduates' family members and friends. Also attending were officials from the consortium's partners, Emirates' senior management and faculty members of the University of Bradford.
In his address, Gary Chapman, President Group Services & Dnata, Emirates Group, said: "I am delighted to be here today to congratulate this year's graduates of the Corporate Consortium MBA. Not only do we salute graduates from the Emirates Group, we also congratulate the individuals from our consortium partner companies for their efforts."
He added: "Through their dedication, they have successfully completed a rigorous course of study while continuing to maintain a full-time career and care for their family and community. We know it wasn't easy for them, or for their family, who should also be recognised for their support and words of encouragement when the going got tough. They should be proud of their achievement."
