Equipped with the most up to date technology and managed by a team of internationally qualified and experienced healthcare professionals, the hospital installed the system with a vision to expand the digital environment to all its existing as well as future facilities. The system will efficiently link all Welcare facilities, providing easy access to expert opinions anywhere within the Welcare group. Labour intensive tasks, such as the transporting of x-ray films, image and report filing have now been eliminated, leaving more time for patient care related tasks. The hospital is already linked to the Welcare Ambulatory Care Center, located at a distance of 15 kilometers and this systems solution has provided many enhancements and benefits to an already established center of excellence.
Speaking about this systems upgradation, Mr. Vidur Kaushik, Chief Executive Officer of the Welcare World Health System said: "The Centricity RIS/PACS solution will be the core of the Hospital's film and paperless electronic medical record, the first of its kind system solution in the region. After installing the solution at our current flagship facility, we will expand it to all our future hospitals and clinics in the region. This state of the art technology, not only equips us to compete more efficiently in the current market, but also prepares us for the future of Radiology, by improving communications, eliminating costs and providing quality health services to all our customers".
"The establishment of a long term partnership with the Welcare Hospital is an exciting prospect, enabling both partners to realize high quality healthcare through modern, state of-the-art technologies today and in the future. Centricity RIS/PACS is more than a combination of discrete RIS and PACS functions. It integrates RIS and PACS data seamlessly into a user based solution for the Radiologist, Clinician and Radiographer"
said Jurgen Reyinger, General Manager at GE Healthcare Information Technologies Europe, Middle East and Africa.
GE provides all regional support from sales to service from a locally based hub in Dubai, which has a highly experienced team of experts, including clinical, technical and IT professionals. Centricity RIS/PACS is more than just implementing new monitoring networks or updating monolithic systems, this digital transformation in healthcare means completely rethinking and re-engineering the clinical process.
