NBAD surprises and delights 170 children

In its efforts to integrate the social and environmental concerns of the community into business operations, The National Bank of Abu Dhabi supported the year end party for over 170 students of The Future Centre for special needs.

Held recently at the Le Royal Meridien Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the party welcomed more than 220 teachers and parents. The school's Director, Mowfaq M.A. Mustafa and the members of the faculty, paid tribute to the achievements and accomplishments made by the children throughout the year and thanked organizers, contributors and parents who played an active role in the continued success of the students.

The Future Centre for special needs is a non-profit institution, providing services in the areas of special education, and re-habilitation of individuals with disabilities. Established in 2000, the centre accommodates approximately 170 students between the ages of 3 and 20 years old from various nationalities, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.

Commenting on the bank's latest community related activity, the General Manager and Chief operating officer Mr. Abdulla Abdul Raheem stated, "NBAD is proud to provide its support to this event. As the largest local bank, we believe this is an opportunity to act as a role model in encouraging other financial and non-financial organizations to do their part to get involved."

The event was supported by local organizations including NBAD who served as the gift master at the event surprising and delighting over 170 students with educational toys and balloons. "Supporting such events is an occasion to highlight the importance of people with special needs and to provide awareness to their issues," added Abdul Raheem.
