Ali Salih steps into the role from his position of hotel manager at Mirfa Hotel which is managed by the same group, Danat Hotels & Resorts. He opened Mirfa Hotel in May 3rd 2003, recruited all the staff and was in full charge of everything including monitoring the overall performance of all departments and preparing the budget.

He also brings with him over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to his joining Danat Hotels and Resorts, Salih has held several key positions in the UK, such as house manager of Fraser Suites Kensington, and general manager of Brondesbury Park Hotel.
Commenting on his new appointment, Salih said that he is very pleased to get behind the helm of Mafraq Hotel that is positioned at the perfect stopover point for heading out to the desert, meeting between two major cities or merely enjoying a weekend away.

He said: "After establishing and managing Mirfa Hotel for almost 3 years, I think it's high time for me now to move to this new challenge and to lead Mafraq Hotel-which has recently celebrated its 10th anniversary- to a new era of hospitality".

The strength of Mafraq Hotel, according to Salih, is that it is located only 10 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, close to Abu Dhabi's two major Golf Courses, and a 20 minute drive to the Abu Dhabi City centre, and just 1 hour from Dubai.

"The hotel turns business into pleasure with its conference facilities featuring four banquets and meeting rooms. Audio-visual equipment is readily available and a business centre located in the lobby takes care of any last minute needs for faxing, photocopying, English/Arabic secretarial services and mobile and laptop rental", he added.

Salih has got a very busy agenda for Marfaq Hotel over the next couple of years. "By early next month, we'll have introduced a new 'superior' room category with many added features targeted at guests seeking seamless VIP treatment. The new superior rooms will be part of an ongoing renovation process at the 120-room hotel to enhance the guest experience".

He explained: "Five millions Dhs will be invested to overhaul and enhance the landscapes surrounding the whole hotel. Mafraq Hotel will pop up as an oasis in the middle of the desert".

"Mafraq Hotel is going to provide a five-star service in a 4-star hotel. The hotel's main focus now is to provide better quality and better values across all services", concluded Salih.

Mafraq Hotel is managed by Danat Hotels & Resorts, a division of the National Corporation of Tourism & Hotels based in Abu Dhabi.
