The event, organised by ITP (Information Technology Publishing) in conjunction with Fairs & Exhibitions, organisers of the Dubai air show, is under the patronage H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Dubai and Chairman of the Emirates Group.

Taking place at the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai on November 3rd, the
conference will emphasise the airline industry's extensive
implementation and advancement of various technological applications in a number of key areas.

"The conference will provide an environment for dialogue between the international aviation community, government officials, governmental VIPs, financial institutions, multinational corporations and international regulatory bureaucracies, to advance the development and growth of the I.T. sector within the industry," said Patrick Latchem, Event Manager, ITP.

Topics to be addressed include the outsourcing of non core I.T.
activities, the use of the Internet within the aviation industry, B2C and B2B airline procurement, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), airline financial and cargo solutions, I.T. operations of an airline and Internet security.

"The aerospace industry has and will continue to embrace the
technological advantages I.T. offers. The importance information
technology plays within the industry is phenomenal and will only grow. It is certainly an aspect of the show we are looking at developing and maturing long term," said Clive Richardson, CEO, Fairs and Exhibitions.
