DeAM appoints Ayaz Ebrahim as CIO Asia Pacific and Middle East

Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM), the global investment management business of Deutsche Bank, today announced the appointment of Ayaz Ebrahim to the newly created role of Chief Investment Officer, Asia Pacific and Middle East.
Ebrahim has worked in various senior asset management investing roles across the region for more than 17 years. He has held CIO positions for the past 9 years. While at HSBC, he was responsible for implementing the company's investment strategy in Asia Pacific and significantly improved investment performance. Prior to joining HSBC, Ebrahim was CIO of Credit Agricole Asset Management, a position which he held for six years. He is proficient in Cantonese.

As a result of Ebrahim's appointment, Andrew Fay, who has held the dual roles of Head of Australia and Asia Pacific CIO for DeAM, will now focus exclusively on Australia as both the Country Head and Australian CIO.
