Sven possesses an impressive background in the hospitality, tourism and real estate industries, combining 15 years blue chip hotel industry management experience together with 14 years as a consultant for real estate development, tourism, transport, travel, hospitality, retail & leisure. He was previously with such renowned organisations as Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young and most recently Middle East Strategy Advisors, where he was Director of the Tourism, Travel & Real Estate Advisory group.

For the last 10 years Sven has specialised in the Middle East market, advising real estate owners and developers throughout the Gulf and Arab countries on positioning and operation of hotel and mixed use developments covering the residential, commercial, retail, hospitality and event venue segments. He has been fully involved with planning and strategic management aspects for the development of leading edge hotel resorts, master planned waterfront projects and mixed use real estate complexes.

His work has involved raising and structuring finance, M&A and specialised industry advice.
Specific assignments have included unique and challenging projects such managing the development of the tourism master plan of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (16 project modules with a team of 50 experts), leading the revision and implementation of the hotel classification system for the Sultanate of Oman and sourcing the operator for the first mega-Sukouk development in the heart of Makkah.
