Going fast - the new Mercedes-AMG CLK DTM cabriolet

Middle East drivers are running out of time to get behind the wheel of the world's fastest four-seat cabriolet now available from the masters of luxury performance, Mercedes-AMG.
"This supercar takes its DNA directly from the racetrack bringing the ultimate performance to the road in a way only Mercedes-AMG can do," said Kai Schlickum, Regional Sales Manager, Mercedes-AMG, Middle East. "Never before has it been possible to enjoy wind-in-the-hair motoring and experience the performance of a race championship winning machine that was driven by the likes of former Formula One driver Jean Alesi and current Mercedes-McLaren test driver Gary Paffett."
Powered by a 5.5 litre V8 engine producing 582 hp and a massive 800Nm of torque at just 3,500 rpm, the CLK DTM Cabriolet is hits 0 -100 kmh in just four seconds and has a top speed of 300 kmh.
Externally, the doors and bonnet are made of carbon fibre to reduce weight while the car sits on 19" AMG light alloy wheels fitted with low-profile 285/30 tyres at the rear and 255/35 on the front.
The front AMG sports bucket seats have carbon fibre shells and the individual rear seats are covered in Alcantara. The AMG racing steering wheel comes with gearshift paddles to control the five-speed Speedshift gearbox.
Standard equipment includes telephone pre-wiring with hands-free facility, a tyre pressure loss warning system, an anti theft alarm with engine immobiliser, CD changer and keyless go. A Command system is available as an optional extra.
The Mercedes-AMG CLK DTM Cabriolet is available through Mercedes-Benz distributors who will order the vehicle directly from the AMG factory.
