Saudi visitor numbers grow

The number of tourists visiting Saudi Arabia in the first half of last year reached 3.3m according to a report in Al Rased Al Siyahi, cited in Gulf News. Egyptians topped the list of overseas visitors, followed by those from Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE. 50% of visitors arrived in the kingdom by air, with 37% of them choosing to go to Saudi Arabia for religious reasons.
