Sharjah's new 'around town' guide

As part of it's on going goal to encourage tourism and the quality of living in the emirate, the Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority has published a new guide for residents, visitors and potential visitors to the area.

The handy sized book, 'Sharjah the Guide' newly released in its 4th edition is produced and compiled by long-term residents of the emirate. Designed to inform existing residents, newcomers, tourists and business travelers about the sights and attractions available and the means and procedures one may need to know to settle in quickly, the book is expected to be the 'must have' item for anyone visiting or spending time in Sharjah.

Sponsored by one of the emirate's most prominent energy companies Crescent Petroleum, the colorful and easy to read guide comes complete with information that includes everything from hotel and residential accommodation to detailing options on schooling and other learning centre.

Other essential sections include facts on how to register a vehicle, and where to go to make the most of your leisure time. The guide is available in all major bookstores, supermarkets and hotels across the UAE and comes with a free Sharjah Heritage Museums map.
