Jacky's receives 'Superbrand' status for 3rd consecutive year

The UAE Superbrands Council evaluates and scores hundreds of brands available in the country; brands that score the highest are then designated as Superbrands. Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky's Group, thanked the Superbrand Council for their endorsement, adding that the award also highlighted the trust people placed in the brand.

"Since the start of operations in the UAE, in 1985, we have worked to build trust in the brand. Today, in the face of heavy competition from a wide spectrum of retailers operating in the UAE, Jacky's is a name that people trust and that is an achievement that we value the most," he said.

Recognition of Jacky's performance has over the past week also come in from companies such as Grand Stores, UTS Carrier, Redington Gulf and BenQ. At a special awards function Jacky's received four awards from Grand Stores, namely: Best In-Store Merchandising for Nikon; Best In-Store Merchandising (runner-up) for SanDisk; Best In-Store Merchandising (runner-up) for FujiFilm; and the Individual Business Excellence Award for Ashish Panjabi.

From Redington Gulf, Jacky's was honoured to receive the 'Partnership par excellence' award, given for achieving the highest growth in retail for 2005-2006, and retail 'Personality of the Year' for Mahesh Chotrani, Purchase Manager, Jacky's Electronics LLC.

UTS Carrier presented Jacky's 'The 2005 Dubai Silver Certificate of Achievement for Outstanding Sales Performance of Carrier Residential Products'; Jacky's received BenQ's 'Top Performance - Mobility' award for its projectors business for 2005-2006.

"We are extremely pleased with the recognition we have received from the business community. Working with professional organisations and the support of the community have contributed greatly to Jacky's growth through the years and we will strive to ensure that the customer remains at the centre of our operations," Mr. Panjabi said.
