US imports jump 91% in UAE

US exports to UAE during Q1 reached $3.2bn, an increase of 91% over the same period last year when the total was $1.7bn. US imports from the UAE also rose by 24% to $354m. Total trade for Q1 2006 was equivalent to 34% of the total trade for the whole of 2005, indicating a possibly much higher value of trade for the whole of 2006.
