The International Association for Human Values (A UN registered NGO) along with its sister organization The Art of Living Foundation is conducting specially designed "Road Alertness Workshops" for the Instructors and Instructresses of Emirates Driving Institute.

Over 500 drivers of Emirates Driving Institute have benefited from the "Road Alertness Workshops." According to Dr. Prabhakar Rao, Chief Operating Officers of IAHV, "Despite Dubai having excellent roads and cars, it also has the distinction of having amongst the highest road fatalities in the world. The reason for this is stress and road rage amongst the drivers. The Road Alertness Program is a 4 day workshop for about 90 minutes each day that teaches powerful breathing techniques to help reduce anger and stress on the road."

According to the participants of the workshop, some of the direct benefits of the course are reduced anger and stress while driving, improved focus and concentration and deeper and sounder sleep. They say that they experience more lightness after doing the course.

The Road Alert Workshops are being conducted as a part of an 8-month initiative by IAHV under the patronage of Dubai Police and the support of Dubai Municipality and the Road and Traffic Authorities.
