Adel Rashed Al Shared, Director of Mohammad Bin Rashid Leadership Development Programme, said, "Developing future leaders is the single greatest challenge that all countries and organisations face today. Countries that invest in the development of leaders, and maintain a strong pool of talent, achieve a significant competitive edge in profitability, flexibility, and sustained results.

"The global environment changes daily and the successful leader must be able to adapt, improvise and employ sound principles to day-to-day management and leadership decisions. In partnership with Cranfield University, the Young Leaders Programme aims to provide top quality training facilities, knowledge and experience to Dubai's young leaders and prepare them for greater responsibilities in the future."

The training course comprises modules on best practices in corporate administration; building attitudes that welcome and manage change; employing creativity to encourage team spirit, especially in challenging situations, and enhance logical coherence, and communication and persuasive capabilities during discussions.

Individual and organisational leadership techniques in aspects of finance, accounting, marketing and human resources will also be addressed during the training programme, which extends until 13 July.

Al Shared said, "Acquiring these specific skill sets will allow our young leaders to understand and oversee financial reports, set institutional goals, and determine the allocation of capital and human resources within the organisation.

"The Leadership Development Programme has partnered with various academic institutions in the past. We are confident that its association with Cranfield University will benefit our future leaders by exposing them to the best and most comprehensive training.'

Launched under the directive of UAE Vice President, and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, The Mohammed bin Rashid Programme for Young Leaders aims to identify and create a talent pool of accomplished UAE nationals with the ability to assume responsible roles in the future, as leaders of the country.
