Confusion over anti-piracy tool

Certain Microsoft Windows users are being told their copies of Windows XP are not genuine, as a result of an automatically installed anti-piracy tool, according to the BBC. Many of the error reports derive from XP being installed incorrectly, or generic copies being installed after a computer is sent for repair, according to Microsoft.
